drive.web savvy Java Web Start Offline

With Java Web Start version 5 (and earlier), if a new version of Savvy is available it will automatically be downloaded and installed without any user interaction. To avoid this, use the Launch Offline function of Java Web Start.

Launch Offline means to launch the application using the local copy without checking the Internet for a new version.

Launching Savvy Offline on Windows

1. Open the Java Control Panel.
2. Select the General tab (if it's not already selected).
3. In the Temporary Internet Files section, click the Settings... button. This will open a new window: Temporary File Settings.
4. In the Temporary File Settings window, click the View Applications... button. This will open a new window: Java Application Cache Viewer.
5. Click to select Savvy from the list and then click the Launch Offline button.

Launching Savvy Offline on Mac OS X

1. Launch the /Applications/Utilities/Java/j2SE 5.0/Java Cache Viewer application.
2. Click to select Savvy from the list and then click the Launch Offline button.
